Police - Ritualist's Den Uncovered in Iwo [photos]


It was reported that the Nigerian police Osun State Command uncovered a ritualist den at Elewotan village in Ayedire south local Government development area in Iwo, Osun State on Wednesday


Amiloaded gathered that  the Assistant Inspector General of Police, Zone 11, Agboola Osodi-Glover conducted his officers to inspect the shrine said to belong to a man popularly called Melue.

With the help of the residents in the village, the police uncovered the den, tracked and arrested the man (melue) overnight.


The suspect conducted security men round the venue besieged with fetish and concocted items with many undergrounds after which the police promised adequate investigation and prosecution.


The Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulrosheed Adewale Akanbi, reacted by cautioning ritualists and fraudsters to stay off the town or incur royal curse.

However, the police also uncovered another den at Olanbiwonnu village purportedly belonging to the same suspect.
